Written by I’ve recently bought a Dell Vostro 1015 for a client and spent half the day trying to install the drivers for it because those supplied by the dell website were not all working.
First of all you’ll have to update your Xp to SP3, otherwise you’ll have issues installing the Conexant Audio Card and Modem Card. Also you’ll have issues with the Wireless Driver which will connect only to WPA enabled routers not WPA2/PSK.
When installing the Wireless Driver do it manually from the Device Manager instead of using dell’s setup.
